Kevin's 50th B - Day Jam

Lennon Studios - February 2014

You can say a lot about Kevin Carnes but it's probably better to let his drumming do the talking.  This event was began by Kevin being surprised/ambushed by his friends and family with a surprise party that walked in on him right in the middle of a rehearsal.  The band was in on it and several other musician friend's showed up to pay respects.

With all these fine musicians around it's inevitable that the jamming would start and fortunately black i films was there to get some but not all of the jamming.

Jimmy Leslie and the Flow

Great American Music Hall - February 2014

That Pamela Parker she sure does get around (in a musical sense that is) and you never know who she's going to playing alongside next.  This time up it's with Jimmy Leslie at the Great American Music Hall, a most venerable venue.  The crowd was not dissappointed and by the end of the set most were up on the dance floor getting down if not dirty.

Pamela is rocking her signature black and red two tone look with the victoria corset and the steel toe studded boots and as always playing a mean guitar.  Catch her this Valentine's Night at the Boom Boom Room with Ronkat and Katdelic.

Broun Fellinis

Cafe Du Nord - December 2013

Just before Christmas the Broun Fellinis played their last gig at Cafe Du Nord.  The Felllinis will go on but Cafe Du Nord will become part of the cities rich musical history as a once great place to see a show.  One would walk down the stairs from the sidwewalk escorted by red velvet on both sides and finely carved art deco wood into the darkness, the beat, the haze of herb, and the gyrating of bodies...that's how it used to be.

The Fellinis start off slow as usual but pick it up to a literally breathtaking finish.  Watch drummer Kevin Carnes really work it all the way to the very end.
