Philip Seymour Hoffman is Dead

One of the best actors of his time Philip Seym our Hoffman has left this earth unfortunately and way before his time.  Enjoy this clip from the film Hard Eight in one his earliest roles.  You haven't seen a real mullet like the one Seymour is sporting in quite awhile.

​For some random movie trivia Philip Baker Hall plays the old gambler Sydney (Big Time).  He played the same character a few years earlier in the movie Midnight Run with Robert DeNiro and James Grodin.

This week....running holiday errands in the Fiat 500. That's the real small car that is quite popular in the City right now.

Just before Xmas I helped a friend of mine deliver some very important packages.  The sunset was stunning as we zipped to Levi's Plaza, the Mission, and the Financial District in the ultra mini Fiat 500.  If you want to see a true European version of the car check out the opening scenes of Luc Besson's The Big Blue starring Jean Reno.  It's Reno's first really memorable acting scene.

Coit Tower

Everybody recognizes the Transamerica Pyramid building but it is always Coit Tower that catches my eye on the skyline.  It stands apart majestically atop Telegraph Hill and from the top you can see both bridges as well as great views of downttown and the East Bay.  I live right below it now so I get to see it everyday and it never fails to get my attention.
